Similarly to that classic, our game is a two-player top-down shooter game, where your objective is to shoot and eventually destroy your opponent’s tank.
The game we want to make is an updated 2.5D version of the 1977 game Combat for the Atari 2600 (pictured below). For the benefit of attendees who wanted to complete the game in full (as well as for the many who wanted to attend but weren’t able), we’ve decided to post this web tutorial covering how to make the game from start to finish. The workshop was a great success and we covered a lot of important topics, but due to time constraints we weren’t able to finish the game we were planning to make at the event.
